From the Cockpit:

Erik Jones: “I’m definitely ready to get to Richmond this weekend and back to a track where I have a level of comfort and have run well in the past. The short tracks have always been good tracks for me and at Richmond, I’ve always run well, including earlier this year even though we didn’t get the finish to show for it. I know (Chris) Gabehart and the 20 team will bring another fast DEWALT FLEXVOLT™ Camry this weekend and I think there is no reason we can’t get another pole, run up front and redeem ourselves from earlier this season. With two races to go before the Chase, we’re focused on getting wins and things ready for the final seven races and putting ourselves in contention for the Championship when we get to Miami.”

From the Pit Box:

Chris Gabehart: “For our race team, Richmond marks the point on the schedule where we get back to ‘normal” NASCAR XFINITY Series racing for the remainder of the year. With the road courses as well as Darlington behind us, getting to Richmond will allow us to start focusing on the things we need to do to be prepared for chase style tracks once we get to Kentucky and beyond. We had a really strong car at Richmond in the spring, but lost our way a bit with some adjustments throughout the race and got some bad track position ultimately causing us to wreck out. We feel confident that we can have a much better showing with the DEWALT FLEXVOLT™ Camry this Friday night under the lights!”
