Post-Race Highlights:

·        To kick off the 2017 NASCAR XFINTY Series season, teams headed to Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida for the PowerShares QQQ 300Saturday afternoon. Erik Jones made his first start of the year in the No. 20 Hisense USA Toyota Camry looking to earn his first superspeedway career win.

·        Scoring the 19th starting positon for the 120-lap race, Jones ran mid-pack in the opening laps, racing two- and three-wide with spotter Rick Carelli helping Jones pick his line in the tight, close-quarter racing.

·        Surviving the first cautions and the first “Big One” on lap 22 which collected multiple competitors, Jones was running 10th when the race restarted on lap 27, three laps short of the end of the first segment. Unfortunately, the second “Big One” occurred on lap 28 and Jones was caught up in the melee. With too much damage to the No. 20 Hisense USA Toyota Camry, Jones was relegated to a 32nd-place finish.

·        Teams now head to Atlanta Motor Speedway for the Rinnai 250 on Saturday, March 4, 2017. Denny Hamlin will make his first start of the year in the No. 20 Hisense USA Toyota Camry.
