News: Atlanta Qualifying Report
Coming off a great top-three finish in the season opener one week earlier, Erik Jones and the No. 20 DeWalt team took to Atlanta Motor Speedway Friday night, February 22nd for a qualifying effort around the 1.5-mile Georgia track.
Jones and his Joe Gibbs Racing unit drove into the second qualifying round and earned a final starting spot of 15th, over 179.249 mph, for Sunday’s Folds of Honor QuickTrip Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series event. The No. 20 yellow and black Toyota will pit on Sunday afternoon from stall 41, towards the exit of turn four. Tune in Sunday at 2:00 pm ET on FOX for the season’s week two race action.
