Date: April 5, 2020

Event: Food City Showdown (Round 3)

Series: eNASCAR iRacing Pro Invitational Series

Location: Virtual Bristol Motor Speedway (1.5-mile oval)

Distance: 150 laps

Race Winner: William Byron

Race Notes:

Start: 31st

Finish: 31st

  • For this weekend’s race at virtual Bristol Motor Speedway, qualifying was used to set the field for two 50-lap heat races. The result of the two heat races set the field for the main 150-lap event. Jones qualified for the first heat race, but with technical issues, missed the heat race and had to start the race from the back of the field in the 31st position.

  • With the race green at virtual Bristol Motor Speedway, Jones was ready to make moves to the front of the field when the first caution waved on lap one. Unfortunately, technical issues caused Jones to miss three laps before rejoining the field for the restart. As the race restarted, technical issues plagued Jones and after several attempts to trouble shoot the issues, the No. 20 STANLEY Camry was unable to finish the race resulting in a 31st-place finish.

“We had some technical issues today, so hopefully we can get those fixed up for next week. Thanks to STANLEY for coming on board. I wish we could have had a little bit better run for you guys. Hopefully we’ll be able to go out and make a run at it next week.”
