Series: eNASCAR iRacing Pro Invitational Series

Location: Virtual Talladega Superspeedway (2.66-mile Superspeedway)

Race Notes:

Start: 26th

Finish: 37th

  • Erik Jones qualified the No. 20 Reser’s Toyota Camry in the 26th position for the GEICO 70 at virtual Talladega Superspeedway and recorded a 37th-place finish.

  • Running outside the top 20 most of the race to avoid the mayham, Jones was making his way towards to front of the field and was approaching the top 10 when a late-race incident collected the No. 20 Camry. With too much damage to continue, Jones was scored in the 37th position after completing 67 of the 74 laps following the green-white-checker finish.

Finishing Position: 37th

“It was a pretty typical Talladega race at the end. We finally got up front and had a shot to probably get up there and contend the last five laps and then got caught in a wreck, blew a motor and had about 30 minutes of repairs for us to go back out so unfortunately, we couldn’t get back out for the green-white-checker. A decent day. It’s tough. Thanks to Reser’s for coming on board this week. Wish we could have gotten a better finish for them, but it was fun getting out there at Talladega. Unfortunately, we got caught up in the big one and weren’t able to finish it out. Look forward to next week and trying it again.”
