Erik Jones Finishes in the 31st-place at the Pocono Raceway

Erik Jones and the No. 43 Medallion Bank Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE team finished in the 31st-place in the NASCAR Cup Series (NCS) Explore the Pocono Mountains 350 at the Pocono (Pa.) Raceway on Sunday, June 27.

For the Pocono Mountains 35o starting lineup, the top-20 finishers from Saturday's Pocono Organics CBD 325 were inverted, and the bottom 18 finishers started from the position they finished in. For the final event of the NASCAR Cup Series doubleheader weekend at the 2.5-mile track known as the "Tricky Triangle," Jones started from the 22nd-place on Row 11.

At the end of Stage 1 on Lap 30, he was in the 18th-place. By the end of Stage 2 on Lap 85, Jones was scored in the 23rd-place. While in the 25th-place on Lap 92, Jones had a flat left-front tire which resulted in damage to the No. 43 Medallion Bank Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE. The 25-year-old Byron, Michigan, native was scored as high as 14th-place at the Pocono Raceway.

"Today was a challenge for the No. 43 Medallion Bank Chevrolet  Camaro ZL1 1LE. Our team tried to make some changes Saturday night to help our speed, but it just did not work out. We have to go to work to make it better for the future."
