From the Driver’s Seat:

Erik Jones: “I’m looking forward to Vegas, mostly getting the Playoffs started. It’s a cool time of the year, our second time making the Playoffs. I feel like we have a little more knowledge to go on this time and feel like the team has really been hitting on all cylinders here lately, so we need 10 perfect races and Vegas is a good place to start it off. I feel like we’ve learned a lot throughout the year with this package since the first time at Vegas earlier in the season. I think we’ve got a pretty good mile and a half package figured out so hopefully we have a strong run and start the Playoffs off right.”

From the Pit Box:

Chris Gayle: “The 20 team is excited to reset the points and get the Playoffs started this week. We’ve had a pretty strong second half of the regular season and feel like we’re hitting our stride as a team right now, so really looking forward to carrying this momentum into Las Vegas this week. Last year we learned a lot about how important the first race in this opening round can be to get started off ahead of the points curve with Richmond and the Roval following the next two weeks. We feel like Las Vegas is a track that fits very well in the wheel house of where the 20 team and JGR have been strong this year. The rougher/harder to drive, slick race tracks have been pretty good for us. It’s going to be very hot in Las Vegas so we feel like that will only help to separate the good and bad cars a little more. We’ll do all we can to come out with a very good race for race one of the Playoffs, and try to get that first win to get locked into the second round.”
