From the Driver’s Seat:

Erik Jones: “New Hampshire is a tough track for a lot of reasons. It’s considered a short track, but challenging with how flat it is. It’s tough to get the balance right, but always a fun track. Adding the PJ1 to the track and creating a two groove track will make it more race-y throughout the day. Each time I’ve gone to the track, I’ve learned a lot. We’ve always had speed and qualified well. Our challenge has always been the second half of the race and making sure we are making the right adjustments to stay ahead of changing track conditions through the race to be able to be in position to contend at the end.”

From the Pit Box:

Chris Gayle: “Loudon is a place I’ve personally been looking forward to since last season. We were a little shocked at how poorly we performed in 2018 compared to Erik’s fall race in 2017, so I’ve been waiting for the opportunity to right the ship a little bit in Loudon. So much has changed with the rules from 2018 to now, so I think that’ll make everything quite a bit different compared to last season. The PJ1 application process and locations of application are changing a little bit for this event as well. So all teams will need to adjust to how this effects the racing groove and how quickly it comes in and degrades with laps. We had a good showing in Kentucky and managed to gain some points and move up a couple spots, so we look to keep that ball rolling and do more of the same this weekend if we can’t go in and get that first win.”
