From the Driver’s Seat:

Erik Jones: “I’m looking forward to Talladega. It’s a place where going in to the weekend everyone knows they have a shot to win. It’s a wild race, but it’s an opportunity to knock out a win. Hopefully we can go there, stay out of trouble and be able to get our first win of the season with our STANLEY Camry. It’s always been a fun race and a fun weekend and it’s always cool to see the fan turn out that we get at Talladega, so hopefully we put on a good show.

From the Pit Box:

Chris Gayle: “We are itching to get to Talladega and see how the new rules package and larger engines (than previous superspeedway events) draft and race this weekend. The teams have not had any testing with the exact package we’re racing at the larger tracks (Daytona / Talladega) yet, so it’ll be very interesting to see how the closing rates have changed, how the cars draft with one another, the effect on fuel mileage compared to a normal intermediate track event. It will also be interesting to see how the overall speed will compare with previous superspeedway events at Talladega. Hopefully we’ve done our homework well and we can come out of the box strong with the new rules package at Talladega.”
