No. 20 CRAFTSMAN Toyota Camry News and Notes:




  • JONES AT POCONO RACEWAY: Erik Jones has six-career Cup Series starts at Pocono Raceway earning four top-five and five top-10 finishes. His best-career finish is second in 2019 and he has led laps in four of the six races. In addition to his Cup starts, Jones has starts in the Xfinity Series, Truck Series and the ARCA Series. In his lone Xfinity Series start, Jones earned a second-place finish in the rain-shortened race in 2016. In his three Truck Series starts, Jones best-career finish came in 2018 when he finished second filling in for Noah Gragson. With two starts in the ARCA Series, Jones earned his best finish in 2013 when he finished second.

  • JGR AT POCONO RACEWAY: Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR) has 138 total starts at Pocono Raceway in Cup Series competition. In those starts, the team has earned 14 wins, 36 top-five finishes, 71 top-10 finishes and 11 pole starting positions. The team has led 1,641 laps, completed 23,408 of 24,726 attempted laps (94.7%) and earned an average start of 11.5 and an average finish of 14.8. Denny Hamlin leads the team with five wins followed by Bobby Labonte and Kyle Busch with three wins each and Tony Stewart, Joey Logano and Matt Kenseth with one win each at The Tricky Triangle.

  • THIS WEEK ON THE NO. 20 CAMRY: For Saturday and Sunday’s races at Pocono Raceway, CRAFTSMAN returns to the No. 20 Camry.

  • POINTS UPDATE: Jones and the No. 20 Toyota team gained one position with their fifth-place finish at Talladega Superspeedway. Jones now sits 17th in the Cup Series point standings, 185 points out of 1st.

  • TALLADEAGA RECAP: Jones and the No. 20 Toyota Camry started the postponed GEICO 500 at Talladega Superspeedway from the 18th position and spent most of the race out of the lead pack trying to avoid “The Big One” and have a shot at the win at the end of the race. Successfully making it to the last restart where NASCAR was forced in to overtime, Jones restarted the race from 13th and was battling for the lead on the last lap when contact from a competitor turned the No. 20 Camry in to the outside wall. Despite the damage, Jones crossed the finish line in the fifth position.

  • RACE INFO: The Kids Free 325 at Pocono Raceway is scheduled for Saturday, June 27, 2020. Coverage of the race will begin at 3:30 p.m. ET on FOX, Sirius XM Channel 90 and MRN Radio. The second race of the weekend, the Worry-Free Guarantee at Pocono Raceway is scheduled for Sunday, June 28, 2020. Coverage of the race will begin at 4:00 p.m. ET on Fox Sports 1, Sirius XM Channel 90 and MRN Radio.

Erik Jones: “I’m looking forward to going to Pocono. A doubleheader is going to be pretty cool. It’s something that is a lot different for us than what we normally do. It’s an opportunity to score a lot of points, which we need some points right now. Hopefully, we can go in there and run really well. I’d love to win one. I’ve come close including last year when we finished second to Denny (Hamlin). It sure is a cool opportunity to win two races, because that is obviously the ultimate goal. We’ve got some good momentum on our side from our Talladega finish, so looking forward to carrying that to a track where I’ve been close to a win a few times in the different series and hopefully getting ourselves to victory lane this weekend.”
