From the Driver’s Seat:

Erik Jones: “I’m looking forward to getting to Richmond this weekend with the DEWALT team. We’ve had really fast Camry’s for the first few short tracks of the season with the new package and think we have a good starting point when we unload this weekend in Richmond. Should be a good weekend and a chance to get some momentum on our side heading in to the first off weekend of the season.”

From the Pit Box:

Chris Gayle: “We’re heading to another short track this weekend and another opportunity to improve as a team compared to 2018. This was a place that we ran decent last year, but had room for improvement. This is a big opportunity for us to show we’ve improved as a team, can bring better equipment and put a complete race together. The Richmond schedule is always unique with practicing in the hotter day time conditions and racing at night, so it requires a little anticipation and a good notebook to make good changes to the car for the different environments from practice to the race. This will be our third short-track race and we’ve run competitively at both short-track races so far this year, so that has helped us to build a notebook with the new aero package for 2019. This is a race that we’ll need to really manage the tires and car balance throughout a run compared to the two short tracks we’ve raced so far this season. We have the perfect opportunity this weekend to put another fast Camry on the track and get a great finish for our DEWALT team to get good momentum on our side heading in to the first off weekend for Easter.”
