From the Driver’s Seat:

Erik Jones: “Pocono has been good to us in the past. It’s not necessarily one of my favorite places, but we always seem to run well there and be in contention at the end. We had a good run there last time and finished third. Hopefully we can put it all together this weekend and get that first win of the year. We’ve had fast cars, just have to keep plugging along and have a mistake-free weekend.”

From the Pit Box:

Chris Gayle: “We had such a good run in the first Pocono event that we are really looking forward to building on that and some momentum over the last few races. It’s nice to have some good notes from the first race and go back to a track we’ve already raced at with this package for the first time this season. Hopefully that affords us the opportunity to improve the car, and not start from scratch based on 2018 notes with a different downforce package. Pocono also presents an opportunity to do some unique things strategy wise and pick up some more points and hopefully improve a few spots and pick up that first win to lock us in the Playoffs. NASCAR will be using PJ1 in this event compared to the first race, which could provide some additional side by side racing, at least on restarts, so this tweak could change the complexion of the race a bit as well.”
