  • JONES AT INDIANAPOLIS MOTOR SPEEDWAY: Erik Jones will make his fourth-career Cup Series start at the historic Indianapolis Motor Speedway this Sunday for the Big Machine Hand Sanitizer 400. In his previous three Cup Series starts at the track, Jones has a career-best finish of second in 2018 and has led 10 laps. Jones has three Xfinity starts at the track with an average start of 2.3 and an average finish of 26.3.

  • JGR AT INDIANAPOLIS MOTOR SPEEDWAY: Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR) has 67 total starts at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in Cup Series competition. In those starts, the team has earned five wins, 22 top-five finishes, 35 top-10 finishes and five pole starting positions. The team has led 697 laps, completed 10,314 of 10,806 attempted laps (95.4%) and earned an average start of 15.3 and an average finish of 14.3. • THIS WEEK ON THE NO. 20 CAMRY: For this weekend’s 400-mile race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, STANLEY Security returns to the No. 20 Toyota Camry and will carry #TogetherWeAreMore on the hood.

  • POINTS UPDATE: Jones and the No. 20 Toyota team gained one position following their third-place finish at Pocono Raceway. Jones now sits 16th in the Cup Series point standings.

  • POCONO RECAP: Entering the weekend at Pocono Raceway, the No. 20 Toyota Camry team prepared for a double header weekend racing on both Saturday and Sunday. For Saturday’s Pocono Organics 325, Jones started the race from the 19th position and showed he had a strong Camry early in the race. Closing in on the halfway point of the race, Jones was battling for position and knocking on the top 10 when contact from a competitor sent the No. 20 Camry head first in to the inside wall and ended the teams day with a 38th-place finish. Returning to the track on Sunday for a fresh start, Jones started the Pocono 350 from the 38th position and again proved he had a fast Camry early in the race. Making his way to the top five early in the second stage, Jones was able to utilize pit strategies and a fast Camry to finish the race with a strong third-place finish, his best finish of the 2020 season.

  • RACE INFO: The Big Machine Hand Sanitizer 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway is scheduled for Sunday, July 5, 2020. Coverage of the race will begin at 4:00 p.m. ET on NBC, Sirius XM Channel 90 and ISM Radio.

From the Driver’s Seat:

Erik Jones: Your thoughts on going to Indianapolis next week?  Either feast or famine for you there.  Do you enjoy running there? Yeah, I enjoy it.  I think we ran really well there a couple years ago, running second.  Last year got in a wreck.  '17 I think we got in a wreck.  It's definitely been on and off.  Some years we've been fast, just haven't had things work out for us. Hopefully it's just another clean race.  I think the speed will be there.  Not having practice hasn't really seemed to hurt us a whole lot.  Hopefully we can go out and do the same thing we did on Sunday at Pocono.  If we can do that, get a good draw for a start, I feel like we'll be up front, definitely in the top five and hopefully contending for a win.”
