The NASCAR Cup Series is traveling to Richmond Raceway this weekend for the Federated Auto Parts 400. All events prior to the race, including practice sessions and qualifying, remain cancelled in an effort to prevent the spread of Covid-19 at the track among crew members, drivers, and track personnel. NASCAR is continuing to implement the new method of determining race line-ups that factors in each driver’s finishing position from the previous race, ranking in team owner points and the fastest lap from the previous race.
Erik Jones in the No. 20 IRWIN Toyota Camry will be starting in the 17th position for Saturday’s race. The starting lineup was determined by a random live drawing that was aired on FS1’s “Race Hub”.
