Erik Jones Finishes in the 16th-place at the Circuit of the Americas

Erik Jones and the No. 43 Black Entrepreneur Initiative Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE team finished in the 16th-place in the NASCAR Cup Series (NCS) EchoPark Texas Grand Prix at the Circuit of The Americas (COTA) on Sunday May 23.

This weekend marked the first time NASCAR has raced at the Circuit of The Americas, a 3.41-mile road course located in Austin, Texas. The multi-elevational track has 20 turns for Jones to navigate.

Jones qualified in the 29th-place, on Row 15, for the scheduled 68-lap event.

The 24-year-old Byron, Michigan, native was scored as high as ninth place in the weather-shortened inaugural race at the Circuit of the Americas.

"It was a decent day for our No. 43 Black Entrepreneur Initiative Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE team. We made gains all day but the race getting called early cost us some spots. It felt good to have some better speed at the end, and to keep improving on the road courses."
