Erik Jones: “I’m looking forward to getting to Kentucky this weekend and hopefully turning our luck around. We’ve had fast Camry’s all year, just circumstances and bad luck have kept us from getting the finishes I think we deserved. Kentucky has been a good track to me over the years in Cup, Xfinity and Truck, we’ve just missed getting the win. We’ve got the Toyota Kentucky plant on our car this weekend which is really cool for me since this is the first time a plant has been represented on a Cup car. Having been with Toyota most of my career and all of my NASCAR career, I’m excited to represent the nearly 10,000 employees who work at the Georgetown, Kentucky plant where the American-made Camry is produced. Hopefully we can carry all of them with us to victory lane again on Sunday and get our first win of the season.”
- JONES AT KENTUCKY SPEEDWAY: Erik Jones will make his fourth-career Cup Series start at Kentucky Speedway on Sunday for the Quaker State 400. In his previous three starts at the 1.5-mile track, Jones has a career-best finish of third in the 2019 event. In the Cup Series, Jones has one top-five finish and three top-seven finishes with an average start of 12.3 and an average finish of 5.3. In addition to his Cup Series starts at the track, Jones has five starts at the track in the Xfinity Series with a career-best of second and he led laps in all five starts. In the Truck Series, Jones has one start where he led 55 laps before earning a second-place finish.
- JGR AT KENTUCKY SPEEDWAY: Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR) has 32 total starts at Kentucky Speedway in Cup Series competition. In those starts, the team has earned three wins, 17 top-five finishes, 20 top-10 finishes and one pole starting position. The team has led 744 laps, completed 8,216 of 8,580 attempted laps (95.8%) and earned an average start of 10.7 and an average finish of 9.8. Kyle Busch earned the team wins in 2011 and 2015 with Matt Kenseth earning a win for the team in 2013.
- THIS WEEK ON THE NO. 20 CAMRY: For this weekend’s race at Kentucky Speedway, Jones will run the No. 20 Made in Georgetown, Kentucky Toyota Camry. The Georgetown, Kentucky plant opened in 1998 and produced the first American-made Camry. Since then, nearly 10 million vehicles have rolled off Toyota’s assembly at the Georgetown plant. The plant is the largest vehicle manufacturing plant in North America and has nearly 10,000 employees. In recent times, the plant has produced over 85,000 face shields for organizations in Kentucky in response to COVID-19 relief efforts. The plant is located just over an hour drive from Kentucky Speedway.
- POINTS UPDATE: Jones and the No. 20 Toyota team dropped one position following their 33rd-place finish at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Jones now sits 17th in the Cup Series point standings.
- INDY RECAP: Erik Jones and the No. 20 Toyota Camry team started the race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway from the 23rd position and finished stage one in the second position. Restarting the race on lap 55 for stage two, Jones was able to move from 16th to 10th over the next five laps. Unfortunately, with no indication, Jones blew a right-front tire on lap 73 and with no control of the steering, hit the outside wall. The damage sustained to the No. 20 Toyota Camry ended the day with a 33rd-place finish.
- RACE INFO: The Quaker State 400 at Kentucky Speedway is scheduled for Sunday, July 12, 2020. Coverage of the race will begin at 2:30 p.m. ET on Fox Sports 1, Sirius XM Channel 90 and PRN Radio.

- JONES AT BRISTOL MOTOR SPEEDWAY: Erik Jones will make his seventh NASCAR Cup Series start at Bristol Motor Speedway on Sunday, May 31, 2020 for the ninth race of the 2020 season. In his previous six starts at the track, his best finish was in 2017 during his rookie season when he won his first Cup Series pole and led 260 laps before finishing second to Kyle Busch. In the Xfinity Series, Jones has six starts with two wins in 2016 and 2017. With one start at the Tennessee short track in the Truck Series, Jones has a sixth-place finish.
- JGR AT BRISTOL MOTOR SPEEDWAY: Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR) has 138 total starts at Bristol Motor Speedway in Cup Series competition. In those starts, the team has earned 13 wins, 34 top-five finishes, 52 top-10 finishes and 11 pole starting positions. The team has led 5,833 laps, completed 64,391 of 68,934 attempted laps (93.4%) and earned an average start of 14.8 and an average finish of 17.3. Kyle Busch leads the team with seven wins, followed by Denny Hamlin and Matt Kenseth with two wins each and Tony Stewart and Carl Edwards with one win each.
- STARTING LINEUP: With the starting lineup set by random draw, Jones will start Sunday’s race from the 15th position.

- ALSCO UNIFORMS 500 RECAP: By virtue of their finish in the Coca-Cola 600, Jones and the No. 20 Toyota team started the Alsco Uniforms 500 at Charlotte Motor Speedway from the 10th position. Jones ran as high as sixth before a late-race pit road mishap forced the team to pit road for a one-lap penalty. Once the penalty was served, Jones returned to the track in the 35th position and was able to advance to 26th before the race ended.
- RACE INFO: The Food City Presents Supermarket Heroes 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway is scheduled for Sunday, May 31, 2020. Coverage will begin at 3:30 p.m. ET on Fox Sports 1, Sirius XM Channel 90 and PRN Radio.

Erik Jones: “I’m always excited to go to Bristol. It’s been a great track to me for a lot of years and I’ve been really close to a Cup win there the last few years. Hopefully this is the one where we can put it all together and end up in Victory Lane. We’ve always got really good speed and been fast and always feel like we are in contention for a win, so hopefully we can keep it clean all day and get ourselves in position to have a shot at the win late in the race. Excited to get there, definitely our first short track in a while and I think we’ll have a good shot to go out there and grab a win.”
