ERIK JONES FOUNDATION NAMES EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR: BRENT NICKOLA WILL LEAD THE FOUNDATION IN A NEW LOCATION IN FLINT, MI

Flint, Mich (March 10, 2023) -- The Erik Jones Foundation Board of Directors is happy to announce that
Brent Nickola has been named Executive Director.

“We are excited to welcome Brent as the new leader of the Erik Jones Foundation,” said Board President
and NASCAR driver, Erik Jones. “Brent brings to us more than two decades experience where he plans
to use that to help grow the foundation to a new level. We are thrilled to have Brent join us in this
leadership role and are eager to collaborate with him to help further EJF’s mission.”

Brent comes to the foundation from the University of Michigan’s Flint campus where he spent more than
two decades as a development and fundraising professional.  During his career, Brent held positions as a
Grant Writer, Project Manager, Associate Director for Alumni Relations and Annual Giving, and Major
Gifts Officer.  His long history of building relationships, creating unique experiences for stakeholders, and
a personal interest in the racing industry will help drive the foundation to achieve its mission. In addition to
his professional experience, Brent has served on the board of several non-profit organizations and held a
local elected office.  Brent has a Bachelor’s Degree in Geography and a Master’s Degree in Nonprofit
Administration.

“I am honored to have been selected as the Executive Director of the Erik Jones Foundation and to help
Erik implement his philanthropic goals. I believe in the non-profit sector because of the positive impacts
those organizations have with communities and individuals. As a life-long motorsports fan, this position is
a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to unite two of my passions,” said Nickola.

In addition to a new director, the EJF has opened its headquarters along a historic stretch of Saginaw St.
in downtown Flint, MI. The brick paved section of road connects numerous sites important to the history
of the US automotive industry including Factory One (The Birthplace of General Motors), Louis
Chevrolet’s home and the location where Buick Motor Company constructed his racecars.
